News/Updates regarding Vehicle DealersSecond Temp-Tag Request
In order to help our dealers during the pandemic, starting 9/22/20, dealers may send a runner to any DMV location and get a second temp tag at the counter at no charge. The usual second temporary tag approval is required before a 2nd temp tag can be issued. Please provide owner and vehicle information when requesting to issue a 2nd temp tag so we can enter this information into the DMV system and print a tag at no charge. If you would like to get five (5) preprinted temporary tags to be used as 2nd temp tags, DMV will issue them at no cost. We are diligently working to modify the print-on-demand temporary tag system so the choice for a free 2nd temp tag will be in the system and dealers will not have to come to DMV.
